Jon Jensen is Executive Producer & Operations Lead for CNN’s Global Features team, based at the network’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong. He leads a multi-platform team of producers and writers who create features content from the region, covering everything from travel to technology.
Jensen joined CNN in 2012 as a features producer based at the network’s Abu Dhabi bureau. He oversaw production of a half hour show on arts and culture called ‘Inside the Middle East’.
His work has been recognized multiple times including winning Best Lifestyle Program at the 2019 Asian Academy Creative Awards and winning the Bronze World Medal in the sports category at the 2019 New York Festivals.
Before CNN, Jensen worked as a freelance journalist in the Middle East. He covered the Arab uprisings from Tunisia to Tahrir Square and has worked with media including National Geographic, Time Magazine, PBS, TLC, The Travel Channel and GlobalPost.
Jensen is originally from the Washington, DC area and holds a Master’s degree from the journalism school at the University of Florida and a Bachelor’s degree from James Madison University.
