Since 2020, CNN Academy has brought its training program for young storytellers to Universidad Privada del Norte’s (UPN) campus in Lima. In 2024, participants learned about the latest trends in AI applied to storytelling and journalism.
Each year, CNN Academy delivers a one-week bootcamp in Lima, Peru, in association with our local partner, Universidad Privada del Norte (UPN).
Over this intensive program, a group of 25 students are given access to CNN en Español reporters, producers, and top talent to learn about storytelling techniques, ethical decision-making, digital trends, and video production fundamentals.
At the end of the week, all teams have to submit a compelling video report, with the best storytellers given an award.
